X.0 rear derailleur cable loop length

I'm setting one of these up for the first time. What's the deal with the rear most cable section that enters the derailleur itself? I think I've got it right and I searched for up close pics but no luck. Anyone have one handy so I can see if I got it right.

Im not really sure what you mean by cable loop? On a SRAM derailleur there shouldnt be a "loop" like there is on a Shimano, it is more of a direct line into the derailleur.

Maybe this is not what you are asking, but maybe you could take a picture of what you have so we could coach you from there.

It seems not to be a loop as was pointed out. I made a cable a touch longer than it needs to be. I can take a pic but it is probably ok. I can always snip a touch off the housing if it is messing up on me.

    Thanks for the replies.
