    When upgrading the crank

I will be upgrading the crank and BB on my bike this weekend and my question is should I replace the chain and rear cassette at the same time? The current chain/cassette is a little over a year old with a lot of riding in sandy wet conditions.

If replacing the rear cassette is a must can anyone suggest a 9 speed replacement?

While you're putting on new chainrings now's the time to change out the old chain and cassette (sounds like they could/should be sufficiently worn at least). I like the XT cassettes myself...
