What bearings are used in RaceFace X-Type

Hello all,

Does any one know what type of bearings are in the Raceface X-Type XC/AM BB. Ceramic hybrid or chromium steel? Are they serviceable as per the sticky "Outboard Bearing Bottom Bracket Service Guide. With Pics."? Is Phil Wood grease a good choice?

Thanks,
I don't care if I fall as long as someone else picks up my bike and keeps on riding.

Have you looked at the price of ceramic bearings vs the price of a RF BB (they are normal carbon/chromium steel)?

Yes they are servicable as well as replaceable. Phil Wood or any other heavy waterproof grease would be perfect.

They are serviceable per the reference. You can also replace just the bearings with either the steel or ceramic from Enduro, Phil Wood or where ever. The Enduro Chromium Steel Kit is only $15 and is good bang for the buck if your stock bearings are shot.
