Uber-drive: ISIS spindle, massive bearings, fits into eccentric shell

Disclaimer: This Product Does Not Exist. Should it?

I see a lot of bikes out there with fat, unthreaded BB shells designed for an Eccentric bottom bracket. I read a lot about people who hate square taper, people who hate gritty external bearings, and people who hate crunchy ISIS bearings.

Would it be possible to design a big honking bottom bracket that fits into an EBB shell, so long as you cut some threads into the shell?

Or perhaps a press-in sleeve that's threaded, so you can press it out later and use an EBB? Kinda like a headset for yr BB shell? Aren't they doing something like this on the new pivot bikes?

Would you buy one if they made it?
Would you fill it with giant ceramic bearings so it would last forever?

There are probably several reasons why this wouldn't work, but I am blissfully unaware of them
