New question here. Truvativ ShiftGuide: chainline, E-type BB, etc.

I'm eyeing at Truvativ ShiftGuide for my 2x9 setup that consists of Truvativ RockGuard bashguard (lexan/polycarbonate, 104mm, 4-bolt, 32T/max) mounted on Shimano-XT FC-M751 crankset (44T-32T-22T minus the 44T) bolted on Shimano-XT BB-ES71 bottom bracket (68mm x 113mm for 47.5mm chainline) on a full-sus frame without ISCG tab. Since I'm a chain-guide newbie, I have some questions.

#1 - Looking at the online manual (chart pictured below), am I correct in that the part# "CG-##-SHIFTG" is for ShiftGuide while the other 4 part#s are all for BoxGuide?

#2 - Do I also need to purchase a new E-Type bottom bracket with this chain guide?

#3 - Do I need to slightly lengthen the chain by doing the "big-big combo" test (in this case, it's big cog and middle ring thru chain guide, bypassing rear derailleur), correct?

#4 - I saw "48.5mm" chainline being noted in a couple of places, as below. Is this a typo, or will my 47.5mm chainline not work with this chain guide?

    * Compatible with most (48.5-51mm chainline) cranks: 290g

    * Compatible BB: TRUVATIV Howiter / GXP / Gigapipe BB 48.5-51 chainline compatible
    * Designed to work with: standard triple F.D.’s with 22-32-RockGuard cranks or with 24-36-RockGuard cranks

Thanks for your tips in advance,
    - PiroChu
