truvativ howitzer BB with other cranks?

Can the truvativ howitzer BB be used with other external bottom bracket cranks?

I know that shimano/race face and fsa are all compatiable, what about truvativ?
    Such as the Shimano saints?

No. The Truvativ Howitzer BB is not just the shell. The Howitzer BB has the spindle as well, and the cranks press on to the spindle, it's just like traditional BBs but with outboard bearings. With the RF or Shimano offerings, the spindle is attached to the crank arm.

No, the spindle in the Howitzer can not be removed (easily)

The Howitzer BB is not hollow. The spindle is part of the BB, not part of the crank.

I have the hussefelt cranks with the howitzer BB and the spindle just slides out once I take off the crankarms.

I am curious to see if the truvativ spindle is the same width as the shimano/race face ones.
