Bonking ... not feelin' well Truvativ Giga BB help needed!

I just got a Truvativ FireX W/ Giga X Pipe BB.
Since my old one was missing a Power Spline arm and I couldn't find one anywhere I got this whole other deal.
Well the old one had external bearings.....this one has internal and is about 3 spacers to dang wide.

Can anyone spare about 3 spacers for one of these to help me out?
This should give me what I need to tighten it down and it to all be good.

I know I shoulda just got another exteral bearing BB and been done with it.
Well I couldn't afford $100 or more for such a setup right now.
I just wanna get this damn bike built so I can ride it before the end of summer!!!

Wife is all over me to go out riding with Her and I keep running into problems!!

I thought the Firex cranks had external bearing bb's. Regardless, it sounds like you have a 73mm bb (without its spacers) placed inside a 68mm shell. Is your bb shell 68mm wide? Usually bb's are adjustable via two spacers (come with them) so that they can fit into 68 and 73mm shells. As far as I know, all Truvativ internal bb's fit 68/73mm shells.

Just a hair shy of 2 3/8in.....I don't have anything to measure in MM.
Came with one spacer and a O ring......OEM removed from a new bike.

This is newer one I just got

My old one is very similar to this.

If I hafta I'll trade off the one I just got for one like my old one......
It's all really starting to ---- me off!!

What kind of bike do you have? 2 3/8" equals 60.xxx mm. (to get mm, multiply by 25.4)
A 68mm bb with be around 2 11/16".
Do you have spacers from your old bb? You could use them. I'm sure your lbs could find some for you too.

No spacers with the old one threads in real nice.....this other one I hafta stuggle then it's too wide.

Think I like the external one better it's half the weight!

Forgive my grouchiness I've never puttered with cranks like these before.
Truvative is beginning to impress me less and less!
I'm thinking of getting a external bearing like my old one in a RaceFace or Shimanno and be done with it.

What is a ISIS....that what the one I just got is.
My old one is a Power Spline........

Measure the spindle length on each bb. I believe the Giga is 118mm (~4 5/8".) Your old bb may be shorter which wont allow you to screw your cups all the way in.

Take your old bb (and your bike too, if possible) to your lbs so that they can get you an exact replacement.

Been there done that. One month wait on parts.
I wanna be riding this thing ASAP.....before Summer is gone.

***Oh yeah.....
It was asked what bike this was for....2006 Voodoo Hoodoo.
This crankset was standard equipment on it as far as I know.

I checked your stats to see what kind of bike you had after I asked. I'd still go to the lbs, and at least get the correct measurements for your application. Then you could just order one online. Toss them a fiver for their trouble. Ask them why your new one won't fit too.

On another note, I run a Truvativ Stylo crankset with a GXP external bb. I love it, but it doesn't sound like it'll work for your bike.

That's exactly what I took out of mine.
It's the internal BB that's not working for me.
I might have found one exactly like my old one.....I'm looking into it.
Just hate to buy the whole damn assembly when all I need is a arm.
The way my luck has been going......figures!

Mine is different than yours. Mine is not splined. Mine has a through pipe that is connected to the driveside arm. I basically have a two piece crank instead of a three piece crank.

That is correct same as my original I'm trying to get straight.
Maybe I miss explained what I have......I guess there are 3 diff types you can have these day or more.
(My pic above was just to show bearing type)
See when I bought the bike 2nd hand......the person lost the left non drive side arm in a move.
I knew this and figured some of the other Truvativ crank arms were interchangable.....I was wrong.
Mine has a shaft that looks like a giant hollow torex.
Guy at my LBS told me it was a power spline....guess He don't know jack?

**** Here is a exact pic of my original and the one I need below ****
You don't see the drive side shaft cuz of the way the pic was taken.

So you don't actually need a bottom bracket, but a crank arm, correct? Pick up a new crankset with bb at some place like Pricepoint.com. They have Firex sets (w/ GXP bb) for $100.
