Are there two types of M800 (old saint) Rear Derailleurs? Horiz and Vertical

I don't know if it's just an error in peoples classifieds postings, but I'm seeing a mix of saying compatibility for horizontal and vertical dropouts. I have the m800 hub with the long axle for the axle mount, but this one guy says its for 'horizontal dropouts only'. I have vertical dropouts.

    Won't mount up...

The derailleur itself is the same, but the alloy mounting plates that bolt on the back of it have the dropout nubs oriented differently. If you got the plate of the back of someone's old vertical Saint you could swap them and mount the new der on your bike.

I have an unused M800 sitting in my garage that I did the conversion on. I ordered the backplate through my LBS from BTI. Here is the part info. I think it was around $10 to $15
