    SRAM X9? 2x10 or 3x10?

My friend is giving me a set of 3x10 X9 shifters, I am currently using a 3x9 shimano crankset and eventually want to use then as a 2x10 set up. Can I use the same shifters or do I have to buy the 2x10 shifters?

You can use the same shifters. Just set the limit screws on the FD appropriately and you will be fine.

Make sure you have the FD and shifters the same though - both 3x or both 2x.
