The Sram X0 trigger shifters and rear mech are twice the price of their X9 stable mates?

Are they that much better, if at all?

The internals are more durable. The X.9s develop some slop after a season. None of that with the X.0s. The X.0s also have an aluminum pull trigger, unlike the X.9's, which is plastic and kinda flimsy feeling. You can also adjust the pull trigger angle on the X.0s. Is that all worth it? Up to you to decide. To me, yes.

Rear derailleurs, different story. X.9 for me.

It's pretty hard to break shifters. (except for breaking the indicators off Shimano triggers). They're well protected by the brake levers.
Lol, just broke my right shifter a week ago. No idea how I managed, I merely wiped out in a sharp turn (too much speed). I look down and it was just hanging there, the aluminum casing snapped clean off. Heading to shop today to ask how much they want for a new one...
