I got a SRAM X-9 rear derailleur from ebay and need to replace the lower wheel. When I search for replacements, I notice that there is an incompatibility point between 2004 and 2005. Anyone know how I can tell which one I have?
I have looked at a bunch of wheels on ebay, including these KCNC's, but the hole in the center looks too small. I have an old X-5 that I took a wheel from, but the hole is smaller and the sides of the cage do not seat into the wheel holes. The wheel spins alright, but the additional space allows the chain to jump the wheel and get stuck between the wheel and the cage sides.
My original question - can anyone tell me how to see the difference between the older style wheels and the newer?
