    SRAM Shifter housing repair?

    Hi,

I did some wrong cycling yesterday on a trail and ended up in a heap. My pride and knee were a bit damaged but more importantly I snapped my left shifter off my bars. The casing is broken. I have attached a bad pic....

What I'm wondering is, is there a temporary fix I can do while I source another shifter?

Cable ties, superglue and gaffer tape?!

It looks like no shifter would have weathered that particularly well...However, if you have to replace it, grab an X-7, they have much more positive lever feel than X-5 stuff. Should be plenty of single shifters floating around fleabay.

Yeah I was thinking to do that. I have it braced and epoxy'd at the moment for a temp fix. Thanks for the replies.
