Sram PG990 vs Shimano xt m760 Cassette

Any comments/experience out there. Time to replace and these are the best two choices for me.

    Thanks!

I've got one of each. Here are my thoughts:

    SRAM 990 (06 model w/ red spider):
    Cool looking
Finally a smaller jump to the 34T sprocket
Wouldn't pay $100 or whatever the MSRP on it is, but I got it for about $50

    XT 760
    Less flashy
    Lighter
    Solid

I really haven't noticed any difference in shifting and/or wear or durability between the two yet.

If you are a weight weenie, then go for the XT.
If you like shiny, bling-a-rific parts then the 990 is for you.
Otherwise, get the cheaper of the two since this is a "wear" part.

    I agree with Jdub.
Whichever is cheaper on the given day that you buy.
I have used both and am happy with both.

Indeed wear parts but I'm into retro mode, 8 speed XT/XTR way more beef/smaller jumps and I realllly like that... still
