I'm looking to use my 24mm spindle SRAM XX crankset and King external BB on a new Niner Jet9 RDO frame designed for a PF30 BB.
I know SRAM makes an adaptor that you thread the external cups into then press the whole thing into the frame. Sounds good.
Anyone have any experience with this? My understanding is that it comes with loctite for the install. Does this make removal a messy affair? I think I'll someday "upgrade" to the 30mm set up and I don't want any plastic sleeves bonded into my expensive new carbon frame.
I may be thinking of the SRAM BB30 to BSA adaptor. I think it's aluminium and is a somewhat permanent conversion.
thanks a lot
