    SRAM cassette on Deore drivetrain?

I have a 2002 GF Tass with Deore components. I recently got a spare rear wheel and need to get a cassette for it. Can I use an SRAM cassette (specifically a SRAM PG-950 9-Speed Cassette)?

Yeah, doesn't matter, diff brand cassettes are the same. If your 2002 is 8/9 speed, then a 9 speed cassette will work.

as long as your drivetrain is 9 speed it is compatible.

do not though, that if your chain is significantly worn, it will skip on (any) new cassette.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.
