SRAM Blackbox BB w/ X0 Cranks

So I've installed maybe 3 or 4 bottom brackets in the last few years and never run across this problem - I've installed the spacer and cups on my new RIP 9, put the crank thru, tightened down the non-drive side, and I'm left with about a 7mm gap. The crankset can be pushed either way. What did I do wrong? Am I missing a part? I did buy the BB as a take-off.
