Many years ago I was using Sram Attack shifters. A few years later I "upgraded" to Rocket shifters. The Rockets seem less precise because of the "spring loaded" twister - I can actually move the twister a bit between clicks without the cable moving (I think this is by design to make for a psudo "spring assist" shift feel). The Attacks are direct - move the twister and the cable moves. I think I like the feel of the Attack better. Can anyone comment on recent versions of these shifters - are they still built the same (mine are 4-5 years old) before I buy new ones to get back to the more precise feel of the older Attack?

Thanks,

Dan
