    SRAM 10sp front deraileur

Have an xx front derail that is the wrong size. I need a 34.9 vs. a 31.8. Is there any ill effect of using an 2x10 x7, 9 or 0 vs an XX? I know its not as bling but its a front deraileur plus they are cheaper. I am sure they are a few grams heavier as well.

Will work just fine as long as it is for 10 speed. SRAM makes no bones about it, their 10spd and 9spd stuff are not cross compatible. That's not to say a 9spd won't shift with the 10spd chain, etc., it just won't do it very well.
