    Spiderless 165mm Crankset

My wife wants to run 1x10 on her trail bike, only at her height, 165mm cranks are the only option.

Currently she runs a SRAM PG1050 11-36T cassette and as far as I am aware, this is the widest spread cassette available before either buying a Ti cassette 11-38T (can't really justify the money for something that will wear so quickly), or replacing the 36T cog with a 39T cog from eBay that will likely ruin her freehub body in time.

It seems to be that the most sensible solution is a smaller chainring, but my challenge is finding a crankset that can be run with a spiderless chainring that also comes in 165mm.

Anyone aware of a 165mm MTB crank that would be suitable?

    Thanks in advance.

Older XTR, M95x series. You could easily run a 5 bolt 28T in the inner position or you my be able to get a 'ring cut in that size to replace the spider with.

I think its difficult to find spiderless 165mm crankset .

Garbaruk company can make a crankset of any length for individual request. They also make 1x10 chainrings.

    Thanks guys.

Just a thought - it is on the pricey end of the scale but I believe the Truvativ X0 DH cranksets come in 165mm, however I'm not sure if the spiders are removable on these. They look like it, but I'm not 100% sure.

Lightning makes 165mm cranks for just about any BB, and they have a removable spider. No one currently makes a direct mount ring for them, unfortunately.
