Short cage derailleurs won't work with 10 speed cassettes?

I don't see any Shimano or SRAM 10-speed short cage offerings, so I'm guessing the cog range is now too big for short cage derailleurs?

I also don't see a Shimano Saint 10-speed derailleur yet, have to imagine that's coming soon with all the 1x10 options these days.

QBP has X.7, X.9 and X.O 10spd Short cage RD's in stock now...

    They exist and they work.

Or.... you can grab a SRAM road RD and hook it up to a 10spd MTB trigger.
It's not where it's made but how it's made.

Thanks man, I was looking at the XX stuff on the SRAM site. Actually, I've come to prefer the Shadow derailleurs. My current Saint Shadow has seen some very rough terrain these last few months and doesn't have a single scratch on it. It's invisible to rocks!

I was talking with a SRAM rep and he was saying that they are both 1:1 but the road stuff is not compatible with the MTB stuff, you might check into that if your planning on that route.
