    Short Axle Eggbeaters?

Can you buy the Short Axle Eggbeaters as a complete non Ti pedal already?

you can buy the short Ti axles to retrofit your pedal, but they ain't cheap. I'd be REALLY NICE if crank bros would offer a shortened steel spindle instead of just the Ti, the Ti stuff is a PITA

the lower q-factor will result in better ergonomics and thus slightly better efficiency, and for some people a reduction in discomfort (knee pain?). In theory they will also be stiffer.

disadvantages is that if you have big feet your shoe will rub on the crank more.

They will also be stiffer and lighter, whether you will notice this difference is admittedly questionable.
