Shimano Saint Shadow Plus, FR mode and direct mount hanger

Does the Shimano Saint Shadow Plus (m820) in the FR (11-34/36) mode work with a direct mount hanger?
If i understand correctly, you need to add a mode converter if you want to run it in FR mode but how can you than use the direct mount hanger.

    Thanks!

The difference between a FR Zee & DH Zee is a different 'Bracket Axle Unit'

The difference between a Saint in FR mode & DH mode is a 'Mode Converter' that attaches to the 'Bracket Axle Unit'

The 'Mode Converter' is only used on the Saint in FR mode.

Sounds to me like you'll have a rear derailleur that can be used as FR or DH when put on a 'Direct Mount Hanger' without the 'Bracket Axle Unit'.

That looks an awful lot like my bike. Hey, wait a minute! That IS my bike!!

Cobba is correct. The "mode converter" is only needed when using the B-link with a standard hanger. That picture was when it was on my SC Blur XC. It now resides on a SC 5010 and still works great. I am not sure what the chain growth is of the 5010 but it won't take up much more. Still with a 11-36 cassette.
