    Shimano Hone Crankset - Opinions?

I purchased a Hone crankset at Super...err...Performance for $99. From what I hear these are a bit burlier than the LX/XT line and was wondering if anyone is using this model. What are your thoughts? Are they much heavier? I'm putting it on a 4" trailbike. Thanks.

It is actually the exact same crank as an LX with a slightly different spider which has no effect on performance. It even weighs the same as the LX. It is more durable than a XT due to the fact it uses a steel granny ring and steel chainring bolts but otherwise is near identical. It will be a good match to your bike.

Personally I like the look of the Hone much better than the LX.

There is no added value to my participation - in fact, just more confusion.
