    Shimano Deore XT 760

    Hey everybody,

Right now I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a used bike. I thought I found a screaming deal, until I realized that the drivetrain for one of the bikes is entirely comprised of deore xt 760 components, whereas the other bike sports 2011 X-7 (supposedly never ridden). In general how do you think the components compare? From what I've found, the m760 was created back in 2003 or 2004 which suggests that it could have been heavily ridden on top of being outdated. It appears that the guy took a recent frame and swapped out the parts much to his benefit.

    Thanks

I think you need to have a look but I'd agree. It's a 10 year old group. Normally I'd say XT beats X7 but even if it's brand new that XT group is dated.

Yeah that's what I've been thinking, the bike is over 100 miles away from me so it's a tough decision.
