is your square taper BB toast?
slap a shimano un (52 or 72) in there for $20-30 and you're good to go for a looonngg while.
What's going on that you need a new BB?

square taper cranks are still an excellent way to go, don't be fooled by the hype of ISIS or external bearing cranks.

for sure. I've been using the same Shimano UN-72 BB and raceface turbine LP cranks since 96 or 97 (it's been a long time). The setup has been on 4 frames. If it aint broke don't fix it.

I have beaten the living crap out of my RF Evolve FR ISIS BB and it still spins smooth as ever.

I'm just one lucky SOB.

Do as logbiter says unless your cranks are toast.
