I'm working on a 1x9 29er project. I've got some new parts sitting around that I got from a buddy. A new XT cassette and a new rear XT (m760.) I'm looking for nice smooth shifting that is really fast. My past experiences with older LX shifters didn't seem to shift very smooth. I'm not really concerned with the price difference between XTR and XT on the shfters since I already have the other XT components. If the XTR will work and be better I'l get them, if it's not going to make too much of a difference I'll get the XT. Also if it matters, I'll be using a WI SS front crank and chainring.
