    Seized up BB

I bought my Spec FSRXC used. The owner put a heim chain guid on it (3 ring). Apparenlty when it was put back together something wasn't done right and the drive side WONT come out. I am a pretty strong guy and I couldn't get the BB out. Worse, it started to strip out.

Is their any way to get a seized BB out? Or should I start saving for that Coiler frame Ive always wanted?

You don't mention specifics on how you're trying to remove it but you do know that's a reverse thread on the drive side cup, right? What length wrench are you using? If it's truly seized you might try a good penetrating lube soak, maybe application of some heat, but a longer lever arm on your wrench can do wonders.

Good news...BB is out. Thanks a lot!

I feel pretty stupid, but at least I'm not alone. A friend of mine did the same thing.

    Thanks again!

(should've held out for the coiler)

Sometimes it's just a good idea to check the manual or do a google for something before you go hacking at it...there are other reverse threaded items on your bike, too.

ps Isn't Tackleberry that guy from the Police Academy series?
