    saint crank chainring questions

    Question,

I have the single chain ring saint cranks with the 38T ring. But that is not enough gears for me to trail ride with.

So I need to get a set up with probably a 22t-32t double ring set up. I assume I just need to buy the new chainrings, and then probably replace the 38t outer ring with the bashguard.

But when I looked at ordering new chainrings they say either specificly for the single chainring crankset or the double/tripple chainring crankset. So it apears that the chainrings are specific???

So I'm wondering, does anyone know if there is an actual difference with the way the Saint cranks are built up? Is the single ring DH set up actually different than the regular double/tripple set up? I wouldn't think so, but I thought I should ask about it...

    Thanks!!!

    You can see from this:

that he cranks are the same for all three cranksets, so you can use the rings from the two ring set.

But you don't need to stick with the Saint rings as any 64mm BCD inner ring will do, and any 104mm middle will also fit.
