I had Webcyclery.com build my 26" Rohloff wheel, that was about 3 years ago and I haven't had to true it or tweak it yet. I'm sure they can do just as well with a 29" wheel. If you're on the other side of the country Harris Cyclery is a major Rohloff source.

    shouldn't be a problem

I believe the Rohloff actually simplifies the build, so any competent wheel builder should be okay. The guys at webcyclery are supposed to be good, I used a local shop out here in CA.

    good luck.

It's very easy to build a wheel with this hub.
    With a Mavic 717 , you need 240mm spokes , both sides.

Second years with my wheel , stronger than my Crossmax.....

    EDIT ; thats for a 26" wheel

    I second the mikesee recommendation.
