    repacement rings for older LX crank...

    I need to replace rings on LX square taper crankset, 97-99 or so. Anyone give advice? BCD?

    You can easily measure the BCD.

    The model number of the crank should help too and it is usually stamped on the inside of of one of the crank arms.

    My 1998 QBP catalog shows two LX cranks model FC-M569

    5 arm 94/58 BCD
    4 arm 104/64 BCD with unitized spider/big ring

    Advice: might be cheaper to just get new crankset.
    Not my auction, but something like this. Get your rings, plus upgraded arms all-in-one!

    I have an extra 104/64 spider for the older LX cranks so you can use regular chainrings if you're interested. But I agree, often it's cheaper to buy a new crankset than just the replacement rings.
