    Reinstalling SRAM PG970 Cassette Help?!?!

I have been trying to do more of my own work since I really don't have the funds to pay the shop all of the time. During todays ride I broke a spoke on the drive side of my rear wheel. I have replaced spokes on the front wheel multiple times, and on a single speed street bike that I have. I removed the cassette from the free hub, replaced the spoke with no issues. Now when I try to reinstall the cassette I cannot get the gears to stack correctly so that they all fit. I have no room for the final cog. Is there any where online with a guide to how these things need to stack to fit properly?

The final cog kinda sits outside a bit. Sit it in the splines and see if you can thread in the nut. I bet it does......

Are there black plastic rings between cogs? Alignment is critical on those.

Look at the splines on that last cog carefully, it can only fit on one way. It has one different shaped dealy.

Yes, it has the black spacers. I think that is where I am having the issue. It is just barely out of the range of being able to be tightened. The final cog just cannot reach the splines. I am going to give them a thorough degreasing and see if they fit any better. Does anyone know if the spacers are all the same?

Spacers are all the same. The last cog just barely sits on the hub. This is so that when the lock ring is tightened down, the cassette is tight on the hub.

Cleaning did the trick I think. Got it all back together all nice and shiny.
