    Rear Derailleur issue

I was riding today and noticed that after a few pedal stroke my chain would go incredibly slack and then all of a sudden pull back. Once I finished the final forward pedal stroke I looked down to see my chain just basically drop down between my wheel and frame only to have it pull tight again a few seconds later.

What's causing this and how can I fix it?

your freehub is dragging. most likely a seized or tight bearing. a service should correct this problem

Thank you, I was a little concerned the dérailleur was going or something along those lines.
