Rapid Rise? Low Normal? Do I need special shifters?

Will I need to change out my shifter to use a Rapid Rise Derailleur? I currently use the SRAM Attack shifters which is Shimano compatible, and works fine with my XT derailleur.

Nope. No need to change shifters, they'll work fine with the RR derailleur.

Except that your shifter indicators will be backwards from what you're used to. 1 on your indicators will be the smallest cog.
    Get over it!
