    rapid fire adn rapid fire plus

    i have a rapid ride derailer on my bike that im about to retire...the new bike im looking at doesnt have a rapid rise derailer but it does ahve rapid fire xt shifters. i was wondering if avybody knows if that will allow me to down shift wiht teh trigger instead of teh thumb. thanks

    the "direction" of the shifting is determined by the rear derailleur...if you like rapid will need to switch to a rapid rise RD... the shifters will work with either
