Hi all
does anyone know the size or bearing number for the bearings that fit x type cups.I believe they are a standard size and can be sourced very cheaply.
I don't know the size of the RF Orbit bearings (I think), but I do recommend buying it from http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id182.html. A couple of advantage of doing so are 1) RF original bearing is MAX bearings, whereas Enduro is the ones with retainers for lower frictions, and 2) this is big - you will get a set of BB silicone seal that covers the entire bearing surface. With bigger lips, I would think it is more effective than the ones from RF. Also no hustle in figuring out the proper size and such (these are selected specifically for the cups you have). And they are pretty reasonable price in my opinion. If you combine with other stuff (like fork seals, headset bearings, etc) that you would eventually need, you can maximize your postage.
I replaced two sets of stock RF bearings in 8 months. I've had my Enduros in since March, and they're spinning great. Enduro also makes a sweet bearing press if you have the cash for it.
