Raceface Evolve Crankset with Turbine inner ring? + Gear ratio question.

So I ordered a 2013 Raceface Evolve 24-32-42t to replace my stock Octalink Shimano M522.

    2 Questions:

    1. I noticed that the inner 24t ring is actually a Raceface Turbine ring. Is this just how they come or did I luck out due to some QC issues at Raceface? I can't find much info on this.

    2. I went from a 22-32-42 set up to a 24-32-42 set up. My rear cassette is unchanged 11-36T. What difference would this make, if not in practice, then in theory.

Be happy. Turbine is a lot better than evolve.
