Question: Compatibility Sram/Shimano Time Trial shifters

Hi! Does anybody know if Shimano time trial shift lever set can be used with Sram front and rear mech???

    These are the levers

Shimano levers would be used with Sram Rival mechs (SRAM groupset use 1:1 ratio), could it be possible? that levers works in friction or index?

    Thanks in advance

The photo sure looks like it shows the friction vs index settings, index wouldn't work AFAIK and maybe would work in friction, but not sure the total pull would be sufficient whichever way the ratio works. OTOH this is a mountain bike forum...

from memory I don't think the shimano shifters will pull enough cable to shift across the whole cassette with a sram rd.

the front should be fine though.
