Press Fit (PF30) Bottom Bracket Maintenance

I'm on a bike with my first press fit BB. With previous threaded BB's I would periodically service through removal, cleaning, and grease.

I've been trying to follow "if it ain't broke don't fix it", however I know that bit of preventative servicing can go a long way. I'm coming up on the year mark, averaging 3 rides a week (including riding all winter in water, mud, and muck).

Should I service the BB now, or just leave it alone and wait for a squeak, a creak, or some other indicator of need? Seems so much more involved for PF BB's. Is there general guidance or rule of thumb for BB service?

    Thanks in advance.

Pop the outer seals on the bearings and check if they're doing okay. You don't want to press/extract bearings willy-nilly, or you'll get loose-fitting cups.

I should add...use a seal pick (or dental pick) to carefully pry up the edge of a seal. I personally use a sharpened/flattened spoke. You want to try your damnedest not to bend the seal, or it won't work as well, or won't fit back in the bearing.
