    Precision billet rear der price

Hi, first post here. I'm looking at a NIB Precision Billet Proshift rear der for my recently acquired Gary Fisher Klunker. Asking price is $500. Any idea how realistic that is?

Ridiculous...they like most cnc'd rear derailleurs of that era didn't shift as well as a base level Shimano rear derailleur.

They are pretty nice, but do not shift that well. The Paul derailleur from the same era was a little better for shifting, but still not as good as cheaper Shimano stuff. It'll probably go for $500. Is it worth that? Who knows. It all depends how badly you want it.

I want one, but there's no way I'll pay that much.
