"plate" on left xt/XTR 760 crankarm???

part # y1fu98120 installs in the gap w/2 bolts passing thru.seems to fill the gap on the non drive arm but when I looked at one on a new bike the gap did not close enough to contact this PLATE! is it in the www.shimano.com tech drawing only?also anyone else have the 2 'O' rings on the center plastic tube ends?

Mine has the little plate installed, I think it helps keep dirt out.

I have 1 o-ring on each end of the center tube. Part no 15.

Part no 13 are shims that go between the bearing cups and the frame.

BTW I always forget to put the center tube in, I have never seen any dirt or water in my BB so next time I forget, I think I will leave it out.
