    M760 vs M770

Shopping for a new MTB cassette and cannot figure out the difference between the M760 and the M770 except the price. Any reason to spend the extra money?
People say to not mix SRAM and Shimano parts in the drivetrain. Any truth to that?

They're basically the same. And the only thing to not mix is shifters/derailleurs, as they use a different pull ratio (for the most part.)

absolute b.s. when they say you cannot mix brands. Look at any bike group set online and you will see mix matches.
