I am kind of a newbie to this my 09 felt vitue has all Shimano stuff, do I have to switch my crank and rear cassette to. I am looking at putting new front and rear derailer's and shifters on and wanna switch to the sram X0 stuff.

When it comes to derailuers your fine. They do not coincide with the cassette's.

Front derailleur can stay too. Its only the rear that is required if you switch to SRAM.

    Alex,
So what I am understanding that if I switch to the sram x0 shifters I only need to change out the rear derailer???
