    Light, durable 9-speed cassette?

I'm looking for a replacement for the SRAM PG970 cassette that came on my new bike. The 970 is pretty heavy in 11-34, and after one ride I'm already noticing some play in it.

But the reviews here suggest anything lighter has a reputation for bending under heavy load. I'm a Clyde with strong legs, and the hills around here can get steep.

Are the reviews all written by people who shift under full load? Or are the "good" cassettes really that fragile? Does anyone have a recommendation for a durable cassette that weighs significantly less than 400 g? Thanks.

The 11-34 is quite a bit heavier for some reason.

Deore XT are pretty good and way lighter then the pg-970/950 perhaps the 990 also. I had a 970 in the past and the difference between the 970 and the xt was night and day for me. (I was using a shimano chain. The deore xt shift so smootly
