    Left side drive

I thought it would be fun to put a left side drive on my Singlespeed. but the freewheel wont work going the wrong way.

Are there freewheels anyway that can do this?

I thought about modifing the one I have, but as I thought about it that would be impossible.

Leave the rear hub alone, just learn how to ride backward

ACS make a LSD freewheel called a 'Southpaw'. You also need a LSD hub, the threads are also left-handed.

I used a DK BMX hub, southpaw freewheel & Bullseye cranks for my LSD singlespeed at SSCW03. Worked well that way for a few months, then one of my pedals unscrewed & fell off.

If you also use LSD capable BMX cranks this won't happen. SPD's don't work too well backwards either.

www.danscomp.com has LSD components. I gather the freestyle guys like the drivetrain on the left for grinds and such. Don't confuse a LSD rear hub for a flip-flop hub, though. A flip-flop hub is threaded for a freewheel on both sides and is used by folks who want to be able to use two different sized freewheels, but you turn the wheel around (flip-flop) to use it with a regular RSD.

Look where you want to go. This is as true in life as it is in mtbiking.

I was thinking about all the threads then not being right, sounds like too much work...

I think ill just leave it alone.

One of my friends recently did it but didnt think of the freewheel being backwards that was pretty good.
