    KMC missing link.

I'm getting my first bike this week, and I'm in the process of getting a some things to carry in my bag. I want to carry an extra link for my chain, but not sure which one to get. I'm getting a new Enduro Comp and it comes with a KMC X10 chain. Which missing link will I need? Their site has quite a few and I'm not sure.

    Thanks.

I would get the missing link 10 gold or silver to match your chain. It fits the KMC and Shimano chain and is reusable. I guess you have a 10 speed bike. You should be able to get at your LBS.

I carry several of different sizes, weight is minimal, but it's potential to save a ride or a buddies is worth it. 10 speed link is what you need, and as mentioned a chain tool as well.

Ditto on the chain tool. Most larger multi-tools come with one, but you can grab the mini chain tool that Park makes if you don't have one. The missing link is pretty worthless without it.

    Thanks for the replies.

My multitool doesn't have a chain tool so I'll be getting one. Would it be wise to carry a few chainlinks and the missing link?
