    Isis Bb

What are the sign of ISIS BB when it's down?
    Not smooth?
Feel a knock whenever pedal is at certain location during rotation?

I hope I'm not asking stupid question as I'm getting a use ISIS crankset and wish to find out how to check the BB.

pretty much any of the things you listed. If its not buttery smooth then it already has grit in the bearings. Shouldn't take long for an ISIS to die, my replacement BB lasted a whole two months and one 24 hour race and now it is gritty from NorthEast riding. <p> my buddies square taper which is two years old, and did the same 24 hour race feels brandney new smooth. ISIS does wear fast, at least that is my experience of three BB in one year on two bikes. The wet of this year has been rough on equipment.
