    ISCG 05 Chain Catcher?

    I'm having a hard time finding a ISCG 05 mounted chain catcher for my 2013 Stumpjumper FSR Carbon. Dropped a chain today, and it happens rarely, but I want to make sure it doesn't get jammed against the frame again.

    It seems like my options are;
    Get something like the Blackspire Stinger and remove the pulley.
    Get a ISCG 05 mounted 2x chain guide (like in this thread)and do away with the one that came on the bike.

    Thoughts and recommendations are appreciated!
    I have a black belt in MS Paint.

    1) Have you got a clutch RD? If so, is the clutch activated?
    2) Where is the chain derailling? Top? Bottom?
    3) Is your chain length good?
    4) Are you using 2 rings? ie do you still have your FD on?

    No, and those are all I could find. On the carbon StumpJumper FSR the seat tube is not round and the diameter increases as you get closer to the bottom bracket.

    1) Yes, Shimano XT and the clutch is activated
    2) Bottom drop. Today was the first time it happened in the 300mi I've run this bike, so its not a common occurence. Just looking for something to prevent the frame damage if it happens again.
    3)Chain length might be a smidge long. The bike came stock with a 36/22. I changed out the big ring to a 34/22.
    4) Yes & yes.

    The chain drop happened while shifting to the small ring going uphill. I'm going to adjust the front derailleur tonight. It does need a little adjustment anyway. Still, I'd like to find something that will serve as a chain catcher.

    Then I would suggest shortening the chain a touch (might help increase tension through combination of clutch and dangler).

    If that does not work, then one of the 2x guides you linked to above. The e13 one is good (from experience), MRP is very similar, I have heard good things about Blackspire. Also consider Gamut (P20 or P30 dual ring setups).
