I need a chain tensioner for 2 speed 24" bmx cruiser

I have a 24" wheel Redline BMX cruiser with horizontal dropouts. I have a pair of chain tensioners for the dropouts but I'm running 2 front rings. The drivetrain is 34/20x18.

Currently I'm running a rear derailleur basically to maintain the chain line and provide some tension. The derailleur tab mounts to the axle so it's not possible to use it, and the chain tensioner at the same time. I'd like to be able to use both chain tensioners to keep the wheel in place.

Can anyone suggest a chainstay mounted device that would take the place of the rear derailleur and work with the 2 front rings ?

Not chainstay mounted... but maybe a tensioner from yess labs... the ETR-H? but the difference between 34 and 20t may be too much.

You need a Paul Component - Melvin single speed tensioner.

'.........One of the coolest things about the Melvin is that it works with multiple front chain rings while maintaining proper chain tension. Of course this is no longer a single speed, but can be very handy for loaded commuting. Because we use two pulleys, chain rings with a maximum difference of twenty teeth can be used up front.'

The Melvin threads into a derailleur tab I think. If there's a way to mount it to the chainstay that would do the trick. I'm thinking about just making one of my own, but the issue would be maintaining decent chainline. I think the chain might derail on the 20t granny ring.
