Hub Identification ?!
Please could someone help to identify the type of hub I have here (see pic) without me taking off the rear cassette? Reason being is I think the free hub body bit needs replacing/fixing due to a wobble I have in my cassette. So I need to know what part i need, or the specific tools to buy in order to fix it!
It says 'hope hoops' , does this refer to the make and model of the hub or the wheel?
Pretty sure Hope makes that, or markets it at least. Either way I doubt you have a problem because most every hub shows a bit of wobble on the cassette when coasting and it isn't an issue.
thanks for the info!
Yeah, It wobbles a fair few mm which just doesnt seem right- whereas my other (newer) bike doesnt- so I guess it is probably just wear and tear?!
I did read on another post that it could be that the bearings in the freehub body are knackered and need replacing, which is causing the wobble.
In terms of the model of the hub, when i type in 'hope hoops hub' the 'Hope Pro 2 Freehub Body' comes up, so i dont know is that is what I have?
Here's the link i used...
