    how many chain links??

    Hey all,

Riding a 2009 Giant Anthem X. 3x9 set up using all SRAM components, rear derailleur is a medium cage. Should I cut down on the number of links on the chain? If so, how do I determine how many to take out.

The only issue I'm seeing right now with the chain at its current length is that the chain has ALOT of slack when in the granny gear and the 11t cog.....not that I ever use that combination, just noticed it when setting up the bike.

    Thanks!!

    Thanks

I had never seen that section of the Park Tools site......very nice. Thanks for the link. Cut out a link following the setup on the site. Shifting is now MUCH snappier!!
